Swiatek's clay-court weight is enough against Linette as well
Roland-Garros confirms Friday's third-round meeting between Iga Swiatek and Magda Linette, and even though the all-Polish angle gives the match a different emotional frame, the tennis case still points clearly enough toward Swiatek.
The official Friday programme notes that the head-to-head is 1-1, which is useful because it stops the market from becoming lazy about the matchup. Linette also arrives with momentum after knocking out Jelena Ostapenko. Even so, Paris clay is a different test when points stretch and the heavier player can keep repeating the same pattern without losing depth.
That is where Swiatek still owns the more reliable profile. Her ability to take control through forehand pressure and court position usually matters even more on Chatrier than in smaller matches elsewhere on tour. Linette can absolutely make stretches competitive, but over the full match Swiatek's clay-court ceiling remains the stronger one. The outright win is the cleanest play.
