Zverev's opener looks straightforward enough on grass without forcing extra complexity
Wimbledon's official Day 2 order of play confirms Alexander Zverev opens against Alexander Blockx on Tuesday, and the cleanest betting angle is the straight Zverev win.
The case does not need much decoration. Wimbledon has already listed this as one of the first-round men's matches worth watching, which tells you the pairing has enough intrigue to matter, but it does not change the basic hierarchy. Zverev arrives as the established top-level player, with the heavier serve and the more reliable ability to shorten points when grass rewards first-strike tennis.
Blockx is talented enough to make sections of the match competitive, especially if the opening service games stay clean on both sides. Even so, this still looks like the type of first-round Wimbledon assignment where the stronger player should control the scoreboard if he avoids an early loose patch.
For a daily tennis tip, the direct match-winner line is more sensible than trying to force set handicaps. Zverev to win is enough.
